Steering Wheel Problem on Braking

Several steering wheel problems can be encountered when you brake a car and one of those is the steering wheel shakes when braking. Plenty of reason can cause the steering wheel problem but particularly for this one since the problem occurs when the car brakes then we can be sure that this is an indication of misalignment between the disc and the pads. This happens because the steering wheel is connected on the car front end that is connected to the front brakes and when there is a problem on steering wheel when the car brake the culprit would be the brakes.

Usually this problem involves machining the front disc to repair the problem. After the disc is machined the replacement of the pads is also necessary to match with the disc and avoid uneven contact between the two parts. This kind of problem can be avoided from happening by proper monitoring of your car maintenance schedule therefore always follow the recommended schedule provided by your car dealer, in this way it can saves you money from unwanted cost that may occur every time you visit a repair shop especially with a trouble like this.

Does Low Oil Pressure Cause Engine Ticking Sounds?

Have you ever encountered ticking sound coming from your car engine? If yes, then this only means that your car is suffering from poor engine lubrication. When the engine is lubricated poorly the components will have direct contact with each other, this direct contact will creates sound like ticking while the engine is operational. The engine is lubricated by the engine oil, when the engine do not have enough engine oil some of the components will not get fully lubricated causing a ticking sound that is noticeable by the driver. So, when you heard ticking noise from the engine the first thing to check is the amount of engine oil inside the engine, you can check it by looking at the dip gauge located under the hood, you can check out the car owner’s manual on how to check the amount of engine oil inside the engine.

If there is enough amount of oil inside the engine then insufficient oil is not the cause of the problem. Other reason that can cause ticking is when oil pressure is low. As you may not know oil pressure is what keeping the engine to get fully lubricated when the oil pressure is not enough some of the engine component will not get the necessary lubrication to make it function properly and each engine component like the rocker arms, valve stems, or valve lifters will have direct contact and rub each other hence a sound will produced. You can confirm if the oil pressure is low by looking at the oil light on the dash board, if the oil light is on while the ticking occurs then pressure is low.

If the oil light do not come on then oil pressure is sufficient to cause lubrication of the engine including its components, therefore there might be other reason why the engine is ticking and probably there is a loose valves or leaking exhaust manifold that causes the problem.
