Ready to hit the road and have some fun? A small recreational vehicle might be the perfect choice for you. The phrase "small recreational vehicle" describes a vehicle created with one purpose in mind: to have fun. One might consider go-carts, off-road motorcycles, ATVs and jet skis to fit the bill. While these examples are certainly fun, they are not really small recreational vehicles.
Fifth wheel campers and pop-up trailer campers are true examples of small recreational vehicles. They offer the comforts of home while you are the freedom of the open road. You probably wouldn’t be terribly comfortable sleeping on a motorcycle, or cooking breakfast in a go-cart.
With each new camper introduced, designs have improved and space has expended. As a result, traditional small group or family campers are moving away from the "small" category. Although today’s small models are still the best choice for family trips, new design enhancements allow greater comfort and flexibility, without forcing the user into maneuvering a monstrosity akin to an NFL team bus or rock star tour bus.
The lasting appeal of small recreational vehicles lies in their portability and readiness, rather than the amount of cargo they can carry. With just a few hours preparation, a small recreational vehicle is transported into a home away from home, while you’re away from home. Small recreational vehicles are perfect for the "get up and go" types of travelers that don’t like a lot of planning and preparation. They offer nearly as much freedom and flexibility as a tent, with firm walls and a ceiling to give added security and protection from the elements. After exploring new surroundings, a small recreational vehicle offers a cozy place to return and rest up before the next big adventure.
One could argue that pop-up campers and trailer campers aren’t true small recreational vehicles, because they don’t provide the recreation. They do however make it possible to find your recreation in more places and in more ways than you might imagine. You can travel the country in your small recreational vehicle and see more of the world–instead of watching the world pass you by.

Although 4 wheeler atvs are some of the most dangerous vehicles known to man, people are more than ever buying 4 wheelers for kids. Not only do these four wheelers tear up the natural habitat, but they make tremendous noise, disturbing the native wildlife while causing their terrible erosion. Back in the days, young people eroded the soil and basically wrecked things for everyone else trying to enjoy the wilderness. But worst of all, is the danger of the 4 wheelers.
Going four-wheeling in one of those big trucks is a lot safer and it’s both fun and popular to do. Nevertheless, whenever you take something off road and go through the brush and the hills, you’re going to end up with someone getting hurt. Many people go four-wheeling during or after a drinking binge. That means there are a lot of people out there, too drunk to drive, tearing down back roads at breakneck speed. A safer way to go 4 wheeling is using 4×4 trucks, and this is also popular. Still, anything that involves driving trucks around off road for recreation, people will find a way to make dangerous, especially if they are young and stupid. Instead of having to worry about their 4 wheelers rolling over on them, we now have the problem of drunken drivers going in their older brother’s, or father’s pickup trucks at high speeds on the back roads. And more than once, this has had tragic results.
No matter how much fun they seem, people who are aware of how dangerous four-wheel ATVs are still buying them for their children. It seems like they are just asking for trouble by doing that. There are things like movie theaters and great movies to watch, soda shops for a nice afternoon treat, and even music venues that people of all ages can go to. How about enjoying nature by taking a great hike in the woods? There are acres and acres of beautiful wilderness to explore that don’t need to be spoiled by the grumbling whine of an ATV. On an ATV, the nature flashes by so fast you can’t see anything, you can’t hear any birds singing, and you’ve practically scared away all of the fantastic wildlife out there. There need to be some laws protecting kids and the environment from the dangers of ATVs. While they may be of use to someone out there, they aren’t toys and they’re definitely not for kids.
Why, with all of this tragedy, parents would even think of buying their kids 4 wheelers? It just does not make any sense. It is not like there is absolutely nothing to do in town. There are movie theaters, coffee shops, the soda shop, the main drag. There is even an all ages venue that provides rock music for the kids. And that does not even touch on all of the beautiful wilderness that surrounds us. But instead of enjoying that wilderness for its quiet and mystery, the kids just use it to drive their 4 wheelers, making enough noise to wake the devil himself and completely trampling on nature. That is a shame when you realize how much they miss out on hearing over the rumble of their 250cc 4 wheelers engines. There is a whole world passing them by. Parents should save their money and buy their children something safer — like a bicycle or scooter.

Three wheelers, also known as ATCs, trikes and ATVs, were manufactured primarily to be used as recreation vehicles. Riders love to hop on their ATVs and ride on their property especially if it is a large one. There are some important facts related to three wheelers which should be mentioned in order to provide a little more information about recreation vehicles of this type.
Since three wheelers are recreational vehicles, they are frequently only allowed to be used on one’s private property. This will vary depending on the location as some public property in various states may allow the operation of three wheelers.
One who is thinking about operating a three wheeler should also be aware of certain safety factors which relate to three wheeler use. Since the ATC only has three wheels, it is more likely to turn over on rough terrain and sharp turns than its quad counterpart. In order to operate the three wheeler in the safest manner, the operator should go at speeds which are slow enough to adequately maneuver around corners and turns. In addition, the three wheeler driver should use common sense when operating the vehicle and recognize its limitations as well as hazards in certain situations.
Three wheelers are a fun recreational vehicle for the whole family to enjoy. However, there are certain individuals who may be too young to operate the vehicle or ride on the vehicle. One should check their local laws regarding all-terrain vehicle operation regulations and see if there are any age limitations with regard to drivers or riders on three wheelers. In addition, parental supervision should be complied with as this is a heavy, motorized vehicle which could cause injury if not used properly and in a responsible manner.
In the past, three wheeler sales were quite impressive. However, these days that number has been greatly diminished if not obliterated as manufacturers do not readily make these vehicles any more. Due to liability reasons, manufacturers of all-terrain vehicles have chosen to manufacture quads, or four wheelers, instead as they are more sturdy and tend to turn over much less than three wheelers.
Three wheelers provide a great recreational sport for those who like to have a little adventure out in the great outdoors. Although these vehicles are not readily for sale anymore, one can choose to ride any of their all-terrain counterparts and still feel the wind in their hair on the trails. By reviewing the previously mentioned facts, one can determine for themselves if owning and riding a three wheeler is what they would like to do. It is important to review the facts prior to hopping on one of these adventurous vehicles.
