If you’re a Motor Trader you’ll know more than anyone just how price sensitive the automotive industry can be. And as Motor Trade Insurance is likely to be one of your companies biggest outgoings paying the right price for your Motor Trader Insurance is going to be vital.
Whilst the UK has benefited from a pretty stable financial environment in recent years with rising house prices, low interest rates and many companies making money there now maybe signs of a change. During 2006 interest rates rose steadily and with 1 rate rise in 2007 already (and with more forecast as the year progresses) there is every chance that there will be less disposable income in the UK economy.
So what will this mean for consumers and Motor Traders?
Well for consumers it could mean they have less money to spend on new cars, second cars or indeed on the servicing and repair of existing vehicles. There is also every chance that as value for money becomes more of an issue they will shop around to secure the best price and service.
And when Motor Traders Insurance policies come due for renewal there is every chance they too will start looking around to secure the best deal on their Motor Trade Insurance. And if indeed money is an issue it is very easy for companies in the motor industry to opt for the cheapest is best option. After all, isn’t one type of Business Insurance pretty much the same as all the others?
Well for Motor Traders in the UK I would urge you to proceed with caution as whilst low cost motor trade insurance is available from many different insurance providers you don’t want to leave yourself in a position without the right level of cover or the right insurance excess (or deductable).
For many motor traders the best option to take when buying motor trade insurance for the first time or when their current motor trader insurance comes due for renewal would be to consult the services of an insurance broker. An insurance broker who specializes in motor trade insurance can search the market to find you the right cover at the right price so you not only save time – but you also save money.
In the event of you needing to make a claim they can also help you get the claim settled quicker and more favourably. A good insurance broker should give you advice and make sure you only pay for the insurance cover you need and want.

The MGF, designed and produced by Rover, is a small mid-engined sports car, with a soft top roof and plenty of boot space. Despite this, it is not renowned for its practicality, but if that is what you are looking for then you are missing the point of the MGF - it is intended to be fun to drive and something of a head turner. The driving position is quite low to the ground, which means when the top is down you get a unique driving experience, it is ideal for the summer months. It grips the road well and has good balance when driving, which is just as well with a 0-60 time of just 8.5 seconds. It responds immediately to the slightest touch on either the accelerator or the break, roaring into life with a great burst of energy, yet slowing quickly without much effort.
However, the slightly cramped cabin (especially when the roof is up) and hard body styling makes for an uncomfortable time when taking in long journeys or negotiating bumpy roads and sharp corners. The plastic rear windscreen means is liable to cloud up, and can become creased and folded where the roof has been put up/down many times. Frequent problems have also been reported with head gaskets on the older models, and this is a common cause of breakdowns.
Second hand values have stayed quite strong, due to Rover restricting the supply, and cars can be picked up from around £3,500 for a 1995 model and upwards, and it proves relatively cheap to run. Fuel consumption is good, at around 38.4 mpg, and with an insurance group of 9/10 cover is cheap as well.
Production is due to begin once more in 2008, courtesy of Nanjing Automobile, at the old Longbridge plant in West Midlands, as well as in their yet to be completed Chinese factory. The MGF is expected to go back on sale in 2009.
All in all the MGF is a fun sports car, with great style and personality, suitably cosy and enjoyable during the winter, and a fast, thrilling ride in the summer sun. —————————————————————-

Yes, I’m a pretty good driver. In fact I grew up in a town where cars—hot rods and trucks and the like—were respected, if not revered. I had undergone my training in a driver education program at a high school that had the knowledge of wintry weather and expected the need for definite driving skills that surpassed those persons living in sunny states.. perhaps for instance driving on ice, snow, sleet etc.
In spite of being quick and hyper-alert, though I love to drive a good fast car, in all my driving years (which equals about thirty-one years); I have only had three traffic violations: the first one was when I was 16 years I had got a speeding ticket, trying to beat curfew; the second one for a no seat belt ticket, when I was pulled over because a headlamp was out; and got a red light violation one night when I much aware but wanted to get home after working continuously all day and all night at a college an hour and a half away from where I lived.
But alas last week, having just relocated to a new town only recently- in the last few months- I got pulled over yet again for speeding. For sure, I was a bit startled, personally I feel I was not speeding, but was doing 44 in a part of town where, I have since studied, the signs go from 35 to 25 to 35 to 25 (in one spot TWO SIGNS, one for 35 AND one for 25 are together?????)…almost like a speed trap set-up, if you ask me.
To my good luck, the officer was not only a cool chap, but also kind and jovial. One of the first things he said, after enquiring with me when was the last time I got a speeding ticket (which was 30 years ago), was that I could go to traffic school online!
Sure, I heard a couple of my friends talking over the last few years about traffic school online, and just about everything like how you can keep adding points to your driver record (points increasing means, evidently, insurance rates increasing), as well as learned of friends who had done traffic school online to ease the cost of the traffic ticket. (For instance, a red light violation, once a whopping $107 in my area, is now nearly $400!). Hence I now get to experience first hand the traffic school online adventure. No sooner I started to research I discovered that, logically, one must use an accredited traffic school online- one that is genuine and will issue you the documentation you need to prove to the courts you have paid your penalty.
Another thing I found out about traffic school online are they can be manageable, thus allowing you to study at your own pace or during at times when you are available; besides traffic school online is cheap; and the fact that traffic school online, if you search long enough, will surely appeal to your particular learning style—offering you games if you are a go-getter, or maybe text only if you prefer verbal instruction, as well as cartoons and short films if you are a keen visual learner.
Here’s hoping that I manage to complete my traffic school online in the next few days, and will either go with comedy or cartoons and games. They not only look promising but hopefully will not humiliate me too much with road rules I learned 31 years ago and ace on every DMV test, etc., despite the fact that once every decade “forget”. What a reminder!

Many would consider auto insurance as an added financial burden. And who would not ? Imagine paying for something that you are not sure if you will ever going to use. The worst thing is, auto insurance is not the product you can choose not to buy.
However, this is not to say that auto insurance is a total financial burden. Car rentals are used by many people for different reasons. Usually, people need car rentals for a replacement vehicle for a short period of time. As such, people don’t actually rent cars on a regular basis and are thus ignorant of the ins and outs of car rentals.
There is basically no need of having any personal auto insurance when renting a car. However, car rental services usually ask if you are interested in buying insurance for the period of the car rental. But if you already have your own insurance policy, confirm with your agent to see if you are covered for car rentals. If you have coverage, there is no need of buying another policy from the car rental company.
It is of course necessary to have a valid driver’s license if you intend to rent a car. If you don’t have a valid driver’s license, you cannot rent a car. There are also some companies that reserve your car with a major credit card while you can pay with cash if preferred. Another point to remember when approaching car rental services is that they will not rent any car to a driver under the age of 25. So if you are underage, you will have to have an older friend or relative to sign the contract on your behalf.
Of course, don’t forget to confirm their rates to know if you are charged hourly, daily, weekly or on a monthly basis. It is always a good option to look around and compare several car rental service providers, to find out the best deal and rent the right car. When picking the car, make sure that you have your personal paperwork and auto policy with you. Make sure you read the contract, and clear any doubts before signing the contract.

If you finally decided to get rid of your old and ugly car, don’t jump into a car buying without calculating.
It’s o.k. that you already know what you want. The latest Ferrari model, of course. The red one you saw at http://thecarofyourfantasies.com. But maybe you should reconsider it. By the way, did you know that red cars and sports type cars are stopped more often?
Purchasing a new car is a complicated financial operation and a highlight of your life. Take it seriously.
First, have a look at your family budget. Sit down and check all your household expenses, as well as cash on hand and your take-home pay and determine what you can reasonably afford to pay for a new car. According to the experts you shouldn’t spend on your car more than 20 percent of your monthly income.
Afterwards check your credit. Start this process months before you plan to purchase, if possible, because if you have incorrect or outdated information that’s lowering your score - and therefore raising the interest rate you’ll have to pay - it can removed, but it takes at least 60 to 90 days.
To calculate monthly payments, you should factor in proposed purchase price, the down payment, interest rate and term of your loan. All will affect how much you can afford to spend on your car.
Don’t worry if you can’t get a standard loan, there are alternatives. If the banks, building societies and credit unions won’t lend to you because you’re self employed, newly arrived in the country or have a poor credit history, consider the booming non-conforming and "low doc" loan market.
A number of non-bank lenders offer loans which especially cater for this type of borrower. The interest rates on non-conforming loans are generally higher but come down after a few years of on-time repayments.
Think about all the expenses of a car: Insurance rates, fuel costs, maintenance, repair and not only the purchase price. Some luxury cars and not American-made cars cost more to repair.
Decide if you want to buy a new car or a used one. Both have pros and cons. A used car costs significantly cheaper but there is no comprehensive new-car warranty, not as many safety and convenience features but a questionable maintenance.
As for the timing, the two best times of the year to buy a car are the end of December (when dealers are competing for Christmas shoppers) and between July and October (when dealers are making room for new models).
You should also consider what’s the primary use of the car, who’ll drive, where will you use the car and so on.

Many companies offer services for car hire in Murica or at the airport. San Javier airport in Murica is located at the northern shore of the Mar Menor. Since 1996, this airport has experienced tremendous growth in flights for tourists. This has resulted in more car hire companies operating in and around the airport.
Car Hire Murica Planning
Consider the size of the car you will need. An economy car is cheaper in terms of rental rates as well as fuel costs. A smaller car will get better gas mileage. If you are travelling with your family or a larger group, you may need a larger vehicle. Otherwise, a compact is a good choice.
Consider insurance when you are planning a car hire. You may have coverage with your car insurance or credit card company. Check with your broker before your tip. If you are already covered, you can save between $5 and $10 per day on your rental costs.
Book in advance for any car hire. You will pay more if you don’t reserve in advance. In addition, your choices may be limited. If you are travelling in the busy season, which is summer, you may not get the car you need. In the very busy weeks, you may not be able to get a car at all.
To hire a car, you will need the proper documentation. Most companies will ask for your driver’s license, proof of insurance and a credit card. Find out in advance which cards are accepted. Many companies have a minimum age requirement for rentals.
Inspect the car before you leave. Take not of any scratches, dents or areas where the paint is chipped. Call these to the attention of the company’s representative. Be sure all damage is noted on the rental agreement. If possible, take pictures with a digital camera to record the damage. You don’t want to be blamed later for damage that was already there when you picked up the car.
Comparing Companies for Car Hire Murica
The rates for the same car can vary considerably from company to company. Compare basic rates and the fees for extras. Some offer all inclusive rental packages, while others charge for extras. These extras can include insurance, mileage, the cost of additional drivers, airport taxes and other fees.
Find out what is included in the price you are quoted. If the company charges a basic rate with add on fees for extras, have the clerk calculate all expenses at the time you are given the quote. This will give you a more reliable comparison.
Get the agreement in writing and be sure to get a confirmation number. You don’t want to go through all the work of comparing prices only to end up paying a higher price later. A quote in writing with a confirmation number for your reservation will help you avoid headaches later.
Compare the cost for picking the car up at the airport or renting in the city. In many cases, there is no real difference in cost. In other cases, you may save money by hiring a car in the city. Most companies will provide transportation to and from the airport. In general, it is cheaper if you pick up and drop off the car in the same location, whether it’s in the city or at the airport.
Compare daily and weekly rates with each company. The weekly rates are often cheaper. If you are staying five days, it may still be less expensive to reserve the car at the weekly rate. You can still return the car early and save money.
Look for coupons or discounts for your car hire. If you book your flight through a travel agent, you may get a discount on a car hire. Organizations such as AAA or travel clubs often offer discounted rates to members. Travel magazines sometimes contain coupons for rental fees. Find and use any discount you can to save money.
Ken J. Morris pens principally for http://www.alicante-spain.com , a website covering information on Spain and Torrevieja. With his reports (such as http://www.alicante-spain.com/murcia-car-hire.html on car hire Murcia ) he expressed his knowledge in the area.
A Torrevieja car hire is the best way to travel around the Costa Blanca. A car allows you to travel on your own time table without relying on the schedule for public transportation. If you plan to travel into the country or from city to city, a car is the best way to go.
You can hire the car in the city or at the Alicante airport. If you are travelling in the summer, be sure to reserve your car early, as they sell out quickly. Reserve the car at the same time you book your flight and hotel. This way, you will be sure to have the car you want at a good price.
Discount Prices on a Torrevieja Car Hire
The easiest way to comparison shop for a car is on the internet. You can compare the prices from several companies. Some websites allow you to compare deals side by side for an easier and more accurate comparison.
Be sure to compare the total package and not just the price. One may appear more expensive, but if it includes things like an extra driver, taxes and unlimited mileage it may be the better deal. Read the fine print and ask questions about what is included. Ask the cost of extras that are not included to give you a more accurate comparison.
When dealing with larger companies, call the local agency in Torrevieja. Most have a multi lingual staff, if you don’t speak Spanish. Sometimes the local agency may be running a special that won’t show up online. If this is the case, you may get a better deal than the one you found on the internet. It doesn’t hurt to call and check.
Things to Consider in a Torrevieja Car Hire
Consider the size of the car you need to rent. An economy size is the least expensive. These are cheaper both in terms of the rate you will pay and in fuel efficiency. If you are travelling with a small group, an economy will be sufficient. If you are travelling with a family or larger group, you will need a larger vehicle.
Economy cars sell out faster than other sizes. Reserve an economy, as you can always upgrade later. If the company runs out of this size, they will upgrade you to a larger vehicle. If this is the case, most will give you the upgrade for the price of the economy.
How long will you keep the car? Most companies charge either daily or weekly rates for a car hire. In most cases, paying the daily rate is more expensive than the weekly rate, if you are keeping the car for more than two or three days. You may actually save by paying the weekly rate, even if you are only keeping the car four days.
Ask if there are a minimum number of days that you must keep the vehicle. Some companies will charge the daily rate if you don’t keep the car for a minimum of five days. Read the fine print and ask about this. Other companies don’t care if you return the vehicle early.
Do you need the insurance? The cost of insurance through the car hire agency can be quite high. You may wonder if this is necessary. Before you leave home, contact your insurance company. Some do cover rental cars. If your policy covers the car, there is no need to spend the additional money on the car hire insurance. Ask your insurance agent about any conditions or limitations on your coverage. You want to save money, but be sure you are covered.
Some major credit cards offer insurance as well. Call your credit card company to find out if you are covered. Again, ask about any conditions or limitations on the coverage. If the credit card covers the rental, you are wasting your money on the insurance fees.
Focusing on news and information about Spain, Jack Blacksmith is writing predominantly for http://www.alicante-spain.com . His publications on Torrevieja car hire are found on http://www.alicante-spain.com/torrevieja-car-hire.html in addition to other web publications.
Before you rent a car for the first time, try to make an accurate assessment of what your needs are. Consider whether you’re traveling alone or with other passengers. Decide how much storage space your going to need. Do you need a compact car, a luxury vehicle, an SUV or truck? Take into account where you will be traveling and your budget for travel expenses.
After you’ve got a short list of your car rental needs, start shopping the different rental companies in your area (or the area you’ll be traveling in). It’s very simple these days to look up these companies on the Internet. All of them have websites, and most even do locally based advertising via Google Adwords.
Pick the company that seems to have the best combination of price, terms and service. Remember the old adage, “you get what you pay for” holds true in this industry as well as any other. If one company is considerably cheaper than the others, they’re probably going to have problems in other areas. It’s hard to go wrong, however picking one of the large well-known chains. If the businesses in your area aren’t any of the well known national firms, a quick call to the Better Business Bureau wouldn’t hurt.
If budget is your primary concern, look for a corporation like Rent a Wreck. They’ve been around a long time and provide very good rates on used cars.
When you make your rental reservations, you will need to have a valid, unrestricted license. You’ll also need insurance, either your own or you may buy a policy issued at the car rental establishment. Be sure to check with your insurance company to see if your insurance covers a rental. If it does, don’t buy it through the rental agency. There’s no need to pay for it twice. You will also be required to have a credit card for a deposit.
In some countries, you may need an international driver’s license.
Once you have determined what you need in the way of transportation, chosen a prospective car rental company, and gathered the information and documents you need, you are ready to book your car.
You can walk in most car rental companies and rent one on the spot, but there are advantages to booking the vehicle in advance. Making advance reservations can save you time, money and lots of headaches. Often, there are packages and special offers that will save you a bundle by planning ahead. Ultimately, you save time and reduce anxiety because you know you have it all arranged and are confident that the car rental you want is available, reserved for you. Nothing is worse than scrambling at the last minute trying to get transportation when none is available.
You can make reservations by visiting the rental location in person, by phone or online. Many people, including this author, prefer to shop online to be able to look over prices and specials at leisure. Many reduced rates are only available through an online reservation.
Arrange to arrive to pick up your rental car with time to spare. There are often unexpected delays that could cause you to miss a flight, appointment or cause undue aggravation. Avoiding these with a little planning will make a trip flow much more smoothly.
Before driving away, thoroughly check the contract, review the charges, and inspect the vehicle. If there is any damage inside or out on the rental car, make sure that the employee duly notes it on the contract and signs off on them. If anything is missed at this stage, you’ll be charged for it when you return the car.
Make sure you have the appropriate contact numbers in case of emergency or other concerns with your rental car. You never know when a breakdown might occur. If you’re in a strange town this can turn into a minor disaster without knowing whom to call.
Finally, be sure you are comfortable with the rental terms, deadlines and restrictions before you head off to your destination.

It’s not very difficult to find car insurance online in Canada, but locating those that offer the most reasonable auto insurance rates can be very demanding. These tips can help you figure out how to obtain the lowest car insurance online quotes, so that you don’t have to spend a fortune on your car insurance.
Provide details As a rule, insurance companies issue higher car insurance quotes in Canada if you do not provide them with specific information regarding your zip code, marital status, car’s safety features, and annual commuting miles. Always remember to include as much detail as you possibly can to ensure that none of the discounts that you qualify for are overlooked.
Shop around Conducting a little research before making any agreement with an online car insurance company is also important, because auto insurance rates can vary as much as 300% between companies for the same coverage. Compare prices and online car insurance quotes between several companies and opt for one that incorporates the most affordable auto insurance rates. If you already have a current car insurance company that you’re doing business with, find out if they offer lower rates for new customers. If so, negotiate and try to obtain the same for yourself.
Raise your deductible Higher deductibles result in lower insurance premiums. Think, for example, if you increase your deductible on online car insurance in Canada from $250 to $500, you’d be saving a few hundred dollars on your annual premium. At the same time, it’s also imperative that you do not neglect additional financial resources that can help cover the deductible in case of an accident.
Cut the miles you drive Reducing the miles on your car can also be a very decisive factor if you want to get a cheaper online car insurance quote in Canada. This is because most insurance companies provide a low mileage discount for car owners who travel on average 40 miles or less a day. Consider a few effective methods you can employ in order to cut down on the car’s mileage, such as using public transit a couple of days a week, carpooling, taking a flight or a train for vacations, and avoiding long-distance drives.
Switch drivers The online car insurance quote may also depend on aspects regarding who the main driver of the vehicle is going to be. This is particularly useful for married couples because some companies issue lower car insurance online quotes if, for example, the female is insured on a truck and the male is insured on the minivan. And if you have teenagers in your household, it’s a good idea to insure them on safer, less powerful automobiles such as the family sedan.
Anti-theft devices Another method to obtain lower online car insurance quotes in Canada is to install anti-theft devices such as a car alarm or a tracking system on your vehicle. Since these devices reduce the chances of your car being stolen, you will get a discount from most insurance companies. Also consider attending a certified defensive-driving class, which can considerably reduce your premium for about three years.
