Campa Brings Luxury to the Outdoorsman

My wife’s idea of roughing it is staying at Motel 6 instead of the Hyatt during our vacations. But now with the Campa All Terrain Trailer, perhaps I can convince her to stay a little closer to nature with a “four-star” luxury tent.

The Campa All Terrain Trailer (ATT) is a highly mobile, self-contained living unit which provides campers and avid outdoorsmen the opportunity to navigate hard-to-reach areas that are typically inaccessible by standard trailers. The units, manufactured by Campa USA (www.campausa.com), are deemed a new generation of trailer systems which offer a wide variety of options.

“Accessing remote areas has always been an issue for campers with towing units,” states Chris Cole, president of Campa USA. “But we provide a solution that allows our customers to literally go where others can’t.”

The trailers can be customized with many eye-popping features such as a three room, six person sleeping tent, hot water shower system, custom kitchen unit, 12 volt electrical system, two 22 gallon water tanks, solar power and a matching tow vehicle lug pattern.

Cole added, “Our systems are fully modular and can be customized to fit any particular situation. Everyone does not camp in the same area. Weather, terrain and topography vary from place to place so we can custom-build a unit to address any specific need.”

The all terrain systems fill a niche within the camping industry and are also being used for other applications. Disaster Reconnaissance Systems (DRS), which are similar to the ATT’s, have generated interest on the state and federal levels for disaster and emergency response.

“Our units are extremely versatile and the ways they can be used are really limitless. Many people from a wide range of industries have expressed interest,” noted Cole.

The company’s core following, however, still comes from the camping sector. But if recent feedback from customers is any indication of how the product will be received by other industries, brisk sales will undoubtedly follow suit. [PRWEB]

Get $50 Gas When Staying at ResortQuest

This summer, high gas prices are expected to impact Americans taking their annual vacations from coast to coast. ResortQuest, the nation’s leading vacation property management company, is doing its part to provide relief by offering $50 in gas to guests who stay at one of ResortQuest’s 17,000 properties in the US & Canada.

“Gas prices are expected to rise again this summer and we want to be among the first to lend travelers a helping hand,” said Mark Fioravanti, president of ResortQuest. “Our ‘Gas Up & Go’ offer allows ResortQuest guests to spend more time enjoying their vacation and less time worrying about their travel expenses.”

Here’s how it works: Once full payment is made, the guest will be directed to an online site to obtain two $25 certificates valid for a three week period (one week prior to arrival through one week after departure to allow for travel time.) Guests will then attach a receipt from any gas station in the U.S. or Canada to their certificates and send it in within 30 days of their check-out date to the address on the certificate for reimbursement. Oregon RV Park Offers Nostalgic Drive-In Movies to Guests

Film ReelWith only a handful of drive-in movie theaters left in the country many nostalgic movie buffs have reason to cheer as a once closed drive-in reopens, although with a twist, because this drive-in has a day job as the Hi-Way Haven RV Park in Sutherlin, Oregon.

Operating year round the Hi-Way Haven RV Park offers guests the ability to stay daily, weekly, or monthly at the park. In operation since 1988 the park has long been considered a premier destination stop for many full time RV enthusiasts but now offers something unique to it’s guests.

“As a kid growing up in rural Oregon, I have fond memories of going to the drive-in movie with my folks but over the years they have all but disappeared” says Jim Remley, the new owner of the park. “I wanted to offer families the opportunity to share a drive-in movie experience with their kids. My 9 year old son loves it!”

Remley an Oregon native purchased the Hi-Way Haven RV Park in January after leasing the land since September 2005, and was inspired to return the park to its original roots as a local landmark — the Cloverleaf Drive-In. “I actually went to the movies here many times as kid,” added Remley.

Guests of the 100 site park can now live at the movies while watching classic films from the comfort of their own RV. But as Remley quickly points out many guests prefer watching from their cars the old fashioned way.

Using a 1600 lumens LCD projector, a laptop computer, and an FM transmitter Remley has used modern technology to provide guests with something that is hard to find in today’s ultra modern movie theaters, a good time.

Drive-In theaters peaked in the United States in the late 1950’s with over 5000 theaters operating across the country. Today only four remain operating in Oregon. Remley received his license to show classic films from the Motion Picture Licensing Corporation, which grants him the ability to show films from many of the top film libraries as long as he meets some basic guidelines.

“We won’t be competing with local theaters our movies will strictly be for the guests of the park, and we will only show movies that are fun to watch at a drive-in. For instance we have already shown the classic Alfred Hitchcock film Rear Window, and the original War of the Worlds. This month we will be playing Rio Bravo with John Wayne.” [PRWEB]

Guide to Understanding and Enjoying RVs

RV ParkRV Education 101, founded in 1999, announced the release of a new book, titled “The RV Book”. RV Education 101 produces professional RV training videos, DVD’s and books on how to use and maintain the systems onboard a Recreation Vehicle (RV). Owner’s Mark and Dawn Polk felt there was not enough emphasis placed on properly educating RV consumers on the complexities of owning and operating an RV.

Mark Polk, the author, said “I wrote The RV Book to help make the readers RV experiences safe, fun and stress free. We purchase RV’s so we can travel to new destinations, relax and build lasting memories with our family and friends. We want to get away from work, the phone calls and other day-to-day hassles. RV’s give us the freedom to go wherever we want, whenever we want. But, nothing will ruin a trip or a vacation quicker than not understanding how to properly use and maintain your RV. Buying an RV is a major investment and a new RVer can be overwhelmed when just starting out. What type of RV is right for me? How do I tow or drive an RV? How do I safely use an RV? How do I take care of my new RV? I have researched and gathered all of the information, into one place, to simplify the entire process of RV ownership for the RV consumer.”

The RV Book covers all types of RV’s from pop-ups to type A motorhomes and everything in between. Peggi McDonald, author of RV Living in the 21st Century, stated “After 20 years of fulltime RVing, I still discovered new information after reading The RV Book. Mark’s book is so well written and informative…he patiently explains each basic necessity that every RVer should be aware of to assure safe operation of their RV.”

Dawn Polk said, “This book is so informational and practical, especially for those new to RVing. RV owners and soon to be owners will thoroughly understand what a Recreation Vehicle is, how to buy it and once they own it, how to use it.”

The Price of Gas Really Doesn’t Matter

Live Your Road Trip Dream: Travel for a Year for the Cost of Staying Home“The good news is that there is no reason to cower in the corner of your RV trying to avoid the gasoline bogeyman,” asserts Carol White, author of Live Your Road Trip Dream – Travel for a year for the cost of staying home. White, who along with her husband Phil, took off and traveled the country for a year, know more than a little about how much it costs to travel for an extended period. “Gas prices were fluctuating like crazy then also, and we weren’t sure what to really expect, but we did know that the price of gas wasn’t going to prevent us from getting out and seeing our great country,” Carol confirmed. “We knew that in the overall scope of trip expenses, this was not going to be a ‘deal breaker’ for us.” [PRWEB May 3, 2005]
