There are a lot of great cars that are available today. I am going to discuss two of my favorites and describe popular standard and optional features that set these cars apart from the competition. Both of the cars that we are going to focus on are from Germany as they are very often the innovators in automotive technology.
The first car we are going to dive into is the 2012 BMW 750i. The best part of this luxury sedan is the 400HP/450ft/lb torque 4.4L twin turbo V8. The 450ft/lb is available at 1750RPM. How can you argue with that much power? I know that I certainly cannot. The car comes with all of the usual luxury suspects including real wood and aluminum trim, leather seats and a four-zone climate control system. You also get all of the required technology in a car like this, hard drive based navigation with Bluetooth. And this being a BMW you get all of the latest safety technology including four-wheel ABS with EBD, front, rear and side airbags and automatic Xenon HID headlights. With all of those features it’s hard to say no to a car like this. Anyone with the means should definitely pick one up.
The last car that we looked at was pure luxury with a sporty side. The next car that we are looking at is the Audi R8 GT. We are talking about a serious supercar; a 560HP/398ft/lb torque V10 motivates it. Add to that the security of Audi’s Quattro system and you are ready to hit the road. While this car has all of the go-fast goodies it also has all the luxury that is necessary in a car that is approaching $200 grand. You get all the leather with real aluminum trim plus a 140W stereo with satellite radio, 6CD and MP3 capability via CD, memory card or USB. With a car that can go like this you need to have the best in safety equipment. This gets you four wheel ventilated disk ABS brakes with EBD, front rear and side airbags. To light the way you get automatic on self-leveling LED headlights. This supercar has all the street cred that helps it hang with all of the world class cars.
It is cars like these that set the German car manufacturers apart from the rest of the world. They combine the best of performance, technology and safety into everything that they make.
